How To Pause a Livestream and Inform Viewers About the Pause

You can pause and resume at the same event link while your event remains within its scheduled broadcasting window. Pausing does not restart or extend the window.

Pause and resume

1. Tell viewers when you expect to return.
2. Use the pause or stop control in your broadcasting setup.
3. Resume from the same event when ready, checking the selected event before going live.

Controls depend on whether you use the EventLive app or an external encoder.

What viewers see

With replay enabled, viewers may watch earlier footage while you are not broadcasting. Live-Only viewers wait for the broadcast to resume. Announce the break on camera or leave an update in the guestbook.

Plan enough time

The window follows the scheduled start and number of consecutive event days. It is not a fresh 24 hours from your first stream. Cover the required days before the event starts. If an event has already begun and you need more time, contact support@eventlive.pro to discuss what is possible.

Finish the broadcast

Let viewers know it is over, then stop broadcasting. A stopped stream and the end of the scheduled window are different. Replay and downloads depend on your settings and recording availability.
