Does EventLive need a third-party encoder app like TribuCast does?

No. EventLive is its own app for iPhone, iPad and Android. You open the app, schedule the service, and tap Go Live. There is no RTMP server address or stream security code to copy into a third-party phone app. If you prefer PTZ cameras, OBS or a hardware encoder, EventLive supports RTMP and SRT streaming too, with the URL and stream key in the Broadcaster console.

We already stream with PTZ cameras and OBS. Can we keep them?

Yes. EventLive gives every event an RTMP and SRT URL and stream key, so cameras, OBS setups and hardware encoders that were configured for TribuCast work with EventLive without new hardware. You can also mix sources, for example a PTZ camera in the chapel and a phone at the graveside. Many funeral homes keep a phone or tablet as a simple backup for graveside services.

How does EventLive handle a visitation, a service and a graveside on the same day?

One event covers all of them. Streaming is available for 24 hours from the scheduled start, and you can pause and resume to the same private link as many times as you need. Guests get a notification each time you go live again. There is no separate charge per segment.

How long can families watch the recording?

TribuCast makes the replay available for up to 90 days when the family opts in. EventLive hosts the recording from 1 month up to 10 years depending on the plan, and the full recording can be downloaded at any time by you or the family.

TribuCast monitors every stream. What does EventLive do for reliability?

EventLive records a Full HD backup on your device automatically, detects your microphone so you are not streaming silently, and keeps a second recording on our servers. Our support team is available by live chat, phone and email before and during the service. You can also run as many free tests as you like from the exact location before the family arrives.
