EventLive Support and FAQ

I have finished test stream but don't see the video ?

Make sure you have streamed for at least 15-20 seconds.

Why is there a delay in live streaming?

EventLive uses the streaming technology that allows unlimited viewers to join your stream. Unlike peer-to-peer video calls, there might be a short inherent delay in streaming. The video is processed by our servers for optimal viewing experience.

Will my viewers need an app to view the live stream?

No, your viewers only need to open the link you are sending to them. No apps or downloads needed.  The viewers can open the link in any browser.

        How do reminders work?

When your viewers visit your live stream link they get an option to "Get Reminders". They can then leave their email address to get notified when you go LIVE. Automatic reminders will also be sent out by our system 1 day, 1 hour and 15 minutes before your event to everyone who signs up for reminders.

Can I start streaming before the event start time?

You can start up to an hour earlier. Once you start streaming your special event, the guests that subscribed for reminders will receive an email notification and will be able to watch the event at the private link.

How long can I stream for?

From the event start time streaming is available for 24 hours. You can stop the stream and start again as many times as you'd like. Your guests will receive a notification that you're live again! So for wedding you can stream the ceremony, then stop and stream the speeches and the first dance, or other parts of reception.

Can I stream from a different device?

EventLive app is designed to be used on Android or Apple devices. If you want to use a different gear (DSLR, Laptop, Webcam, etc.), we will provide RTMP link for your event.

Does the streaming work on WiFi and mobile internet?

Streaming works with both WiFi and mobile internet. Please note that it will not automatically switch networks during streaming, so it's best to test the both to choose the one with best signal. Just run a test stream to check the quality.
