Viewer Limits on EventLive
- For personal events, there is no hard limit to the number of viewers who can watch your livestream.
- For business events, there is a soft limit of 5,000 viewer hours per event.
What Does “5,000 Viewer Hours” Mean?
- If your event is 1 hour long, 5,000 viewers watching the whole event use 5,000 viewer hours.
- If your event is 2 hours long, 2,500 viewers watching the whole event use 5,000 viewer hours.
- If your event is 3 hours long, about 1,666 viewers watching the whole event use roughly 5,000 viewer hours.
The limit is based on total viewing time, not just how many people join. Going over the soft limit does not automatically stop your stream, but an additional payment may apply.
Can EventLive Handle a Large Audience?
EventLive uses one-way video delivery and is built to support large audiences. More viewers do not require you to upload a separate copy of the stream for each person. Keep using a stable broadcasting connection and test your setup before the event.
What Should I Do If I Expect a Large Audience?
- If you expect thousands of viewers, particularly more than 2,000, let EventLive support know ahead of time.
- If you expect to exceed 5,000 viewer hours for a business event, contact us to discuss the event and any additional charges.
- For most weddings, memorials and other personal events, no special audience arrangement is needed.
