How To Edit a Video After Downloading It

For edits such as trimming within a clip, adding titles or music, download a copy and use your preferred video editor. Keep an untouched original.

1. Download the recording when available.
2. Edit a copy in your chosen software.
3. Open Manage Video and choose where to place the edited upload.
4. Wait for processing and check the replay.

Recommended Editors for Trimming and Cutting

These are good starting points for shortening a recording or removing a section:

• Windows: Microsoft Clipchamp lets you trim clips and split them to remove unwanted sections. It is available as a Windows app and in a supported browser.
• Mac: iMovie offers trimming and splitting clips, along with titles and transitions.
• iPhone or iPad: iMovie also lets you trim, split and arrange clips on your device.
• Android: YouCut offers trimming, cutting and splitting. For a quick trim at the beginning or end, Google Photos is another option.

To remove a section from the middle, split the clip on both sides of that section, delete the unwanted part and join the remaining clips. Export the result as a new video and watch it through before uploading. Keep the original recording untouched.

Choose the right action

• Upload to Beginning/End adds around existing footage.
• Where offered, an insertion option adds between sections.
• Replace All Video replaces the current video. Save anything you need first.
