Check Your Internet Connection Before You Go Live

1. Test your internet connection at the event location before your live stream.
2. Use EventLive’s test event feature to check video quality and stability.
3. Make sure your upload speed is at least 3 Mbps for good quality streaming.
4. Use 5G or at least 4G mobile data or Wifi with good connection

What to Do If Your Video Freezes or Lags

• If your video freezes or lags during the live stream, it is often due to a weak or unstable internet connection.
• If multiple people are using the same internet (for example, streaming or watching the event in the same house), it can slow down your connection.
• Try to limit the number of devices using the internet during your live stream.

Troubleshooting Steps During a Live Stream

Step 1: Check Your Signal Strength

• Make sure you are close to your Wi-Fi router or in an area with strong mobile data.
• Avoid moving too far from your router during the stream.

Step 2: Reduce Internet Usage

• Ask others at your location to pause their streaming or heavy internet use during your event.
• If possible, use a dedicated internet connection just for your live stream.

Step 3: Switch Internet Connections if Needed

• If you have access to a better internet connection (for example, moving from a hotspot to venue Wi-Fi), you can switch during the stream.
• You do not need to send a new link or pay again if you switch networks.

Step 4: If the Connection Drops

• If your Wi-Fi or cell signal drops, EventLive will try to reconnect automatically.
• Your video is saved on your device as a backup. You can upload it later using the same event link.

Important Notes

• A short delay (10-15 seconds) is normal for live streaming on EventLive. This helps keep playback smooth for all viewers.
• If you are streaming and watching the event on the same internet connection, it can use up your bandwidth and cause freezing or lag.
• The quality of your stream will stay the same, but the video may pause if your bandwidth drops.
