# How To Use Multiple Cameras for Live Streaming

To use several cameras for one EventLive event, combine them in streaming software or a hardware switcher/encoder and send **one finished feed** to the event.

Only one EventLive app can stream to an event at a time. If using phones as cameras, connect them to a compatible production setup first. See [using phones as cameras in OBS](https://www.eventlive.pro/help/how-to-use-phones-as-cameras-in-obs).

## Set up the production

1. Connect each camera to your computer or switcher using compatible connections or capture devices.
2. In OBS or your production software, add the cameras as sources and prepare the scenes or layouts you will use.
3. Choose your main audio source. Avoid monitoring the viewer page through nearby speakers, which can create echo.
4. Open the selected EventLive event’s **How to Go Live → RTMP** details and enter them in the outgoing encoder.
5. Run a free test event, checking each camera angle, audio and transitions from a second device.
6. Assign an operator to switch sources and someone to monitor the viewer experience during the event.

## During the event

Switch cameras inside your production software or hardware while its outgoing feed remains connected. If moving to a completely different broadcasting device, stop the first feed before starting the next on the same event.

## Troubleshooting

- If a camera is missing, check its power, cable, capture input and software permissions.
- If there is no sound or doubled sound, check which sources are enabled and monitor with headphones.
- If the outgoing stream is unstable, check the venue’s upload connection and encoder settings before changing EventLive settings.
