# How To Postpone / Change the date of the event

You can change the date and time of an upcoming event before you start streaming.

## Important: already streamed to this event link?

**The system will not let you change the date or time once you have streamed to the event link.** This includes a test stream sent to your real event link.

If you ran a test stream to your live event link and want to reset the event, contact [support@eventlive.pro](mailto:support@eventlive.pro) with the event link. We can reset it for you so you can update the date and time as needed.

## Change the date, time or timezone

1. Open your event in the EventLive app or [Broadcaster Console](https://broadcaster.eventlive.pro/).
2. Select **Title, Date, Time, Event Link, Uploads**.
3. Open the date and time controls, choose your new schedule, and check the timezone for the event location.
4. Select **Update** and wait for confirmation.

## If you cannot find the time control

The date picker looks different on different devices. Check the time controls in the picker, including below the calendar. If you cannot adjust the time in the app, use the Broadcaster Console in your browser.

## Postponing and sharing your link

Changing the date or time keeps your event link. You do not need a new event simply because an upcoming event has been postponed. Guests on your notification list are sent a date-change email. Tell guests the revised schedule too, especially if you shared the link outside EventLive.

Do not change the event link unless you also plan to resend it: changing the link makes the old link stop working.

## Changing the number of days

The standard setup supports 1–7 consecutive days. If you add days, additional payment or credits may be needed before the event is unlocked again. Moving an upcoming event without adding days is a different action from extending its streaming window. For a longer event or a schedule you cannot set, contact support.
